Kalyuka - russian overtone flute
This is my version of kalyuka. I improved and simplified its construction, so now it is possible to play on it in a very advanced way. I made it from plastic to increase the durability and decrease its price. In Russia this instrument was usually made from special bush "borshevik" and used only for one season , bacause it was very fragile. But for professional use it's quite inapplicable. Unlike traditional one, this model is highly durable. It's only one instrument i know on which it's possible to play inside the water or at 40-degree frost without losing the technical possibilities. And of course you can use it professionally to perform and record.
I play my own kalyuka for 12 years and I really love it. This is one of my most favorite instruments in my huge collection. I like its simplicity and endless music possibilities!
